It is possible to keep your coins on electrum, and you can follow all of the official dev activity on Electrum in the GitHub: it is open source and as available as ever.

For example, they don't list Ledger or Coinomi, even though both are perfectly fine wallets for holding Stratis and fulfil functions not fulfilled by either Core or Breeze.
