The idea is not that bad to hold for 2-3 years. Did you consider Wanchain, XYO - they recently partnered with Fedex and Spacex, Aeternity, Eidoo - one of the safest mobile wallets. Of course, some bitcoin in the bag is a must.
I like aeternity too - they launched their mainnet a few weeks ago and even though it was a tough start, I believe in their team. They have the best Erlang developers in the world
