I was thinking of starting a career in blockchain projects either as a core developer or a DAPP developer.
But looking at the recent slump and disappearing ICO market, I am having doubts.

Don't get discouraged by the current slump of the crypto market. You should apply to startup projects that have successful ICO's and have an actual product. The Aelf team is hiring some developers in their developer bounty and they have a very competitive reward. You should try to check them out and be part of their team.
