It will take a while for it to hit any extremely high amount. It is more likely for us to witness a steady and slow growth with a lot of stagnation in between. I think that 2019 will not be great as well. Everyone is talking about 2020 as the year of BTC, so we will see what will it bring.
I don't think we will see a skyrocket anytime soon or maybe ever again. I doubt there would be a 20x increase in price in the span of a month for a long time, probably never again. The increases will probably happen slowly and the increase will be a bit slow as well but we will get back to those prices again. Instead of increasing x6 in one month the price will probably get there in 2 years until the 2020 halving.
Around those times price will be restored to what it was once upon a time (last year) however slow increases are better since there won't be a hype of people getting in and getting out constantly. This way we can create a solid foundation to our increase and instead of having a building that has a risk of crumbling on first earthquake we will have japanese type of building that stands the biggest earthquakes.
