     Just to make sure I'm on the same page:  Rather than create full node secure wallet with Armory---fund---gift wallet seed.  Do the same thing except use a reputable executable "light" wallet that has similar backup/restore procedure fund that---gift wallet seed.
     That seems simplest to me, Bye pass import/sweep of wallet generator type paper wallet, simply restore from seed & update pass phrase.
