if you sell it but the price is lower than the purchase price, you will lose and you certainly don't want to lose, you have to wait for the price to rise even though the purchase price is only slightly above. the investor will not invest if it will make him lose so he prefers to be safe first. currently many ICOs fail and even market conditions are still not stable.
