The project is surely open source, you can even visit our GitHub at https://github.com/sero-cash where repos are updated regularly. SERO team has created an improved version of Zero Knowledge Proof encryption library called "SUPER-ZK" and we  achieved 20 times faster encryption as compared to Zcash's zk-snarks during our testnet. We are also inviting miners to participate in our ongoing mining program.
