Overlay their charts starting from the existence of Bitcoin markets. There's obviously a strong long term correlation even if the short term charts don't move exactly together. I don't think there's a causal relationship though. I'm guessing both markets are subject to similar market sentiment and psychology and both benefit from things like cheap credit and general economic growth.
