Last year ethereum also experienced a decline as it is now, but to my knowledge does the price not fall as badly as this? how could this happen? what is behind it?
From what i know, that is because there are so many bad news saying bad things about ethereum. that makes people worried and then sell their ethereum directly without even thinking what will happen next to ethereum. and it makes another people also feeling worried if they will loose.
