I was surprised to see Bittube's Announcement and here it can be understood that this Bittube is not an ICO coin, Awesome!
Then Bittube was also widely available on several well-known exchanges such as Bittrex and Upbit.
But unfortunately the founder of BitTube got RedFalg. LOL
Was it done on purpose? No info can be gleaned on the upcoming hardfork. Would the already gained coins be lost?
Nothing will be lost, not a single coin; it's a change in the revenue distribution. Miners will get 40% of the blocks, instead of 70% now. More will be allocated for "airtime" in order to push for more adoption of bittube. That's the idea behind the fork.
