How much you have spent for buying that mystery box ? Can't you buying some satisfying gifts for yourself for the same money you have spent ? Because, you may win big or lose everything. If you win then that would be fine but how often you are winning from gambling ? If you consider the frustration you will be getting at the event of losing, I believe you will not go for gambling next time. Winning is not exact benefit of gambling.
I think if I was him, I better buy something for myself than to buy the mystery box because I don't know I can win or not.
