It's hit or miss depending on your time or day and video you pick.  I almost always manage to get 5000 coins on Cointiply = $.50 a day in smores or engage me videos.  Maybe it is because of my country, but I don't know.
My secret:  Try to load video one on smores, if it doesn't show an ad instantly, move to video 2 on engage, keep alternating back and forth until you find a video that plays an ad first thing. Sometimes though it seems like none work first thing.  Then I pick a video that usually has ads for me let it play and come back an hour later and see if it earned me anything.  
Usually, I am able to find an ad within the first video or 2 that I pick.

Also, it resets itself daily at about 1:00 or 2 AM eastern USA time. I can go from not getting ads to getting tons of ads instantly at that time.
