The technology of any new project must be superior to the old technology.
This project isn't a new technology it's a fork of Ethereum. So the only way to surpass the ETH roadmap is to put more development effort than the Ethereum organization. Seems feasible to you?
Quite feasible, why not? The Ethereum team is very slowly developing the platform, they need to give way to more experienced specialists.
