I paid with 6500 dollar btc about 800 which was around 0.123 btc

When I was refunded in btc btc was about 6500 which was around 0.123 btc. I think I had a net profit of 6 bucks.

So I was okay. But those that stuck it out and paid 0.123 btc like I paid if they got a refund today it would be .123 which is worth

This is the assumption that he would have sold the bitcoin then at that time .123btc still = .123btc. Do I scream bullshit about buying 333 mega hash miners at 1btc each? No because at the time I was willing to pay it, I don't assume I would have held on to those coins and sold at some mystic time.

A lot depends on how you manage your btc. If you had cash and btc in your Coinbase account.

Sent the .123 btc and then purchased .123 btc with your Coinbase cash. You lock in the value at 6500 for the .123

Great if coin went up bad if coin went down. I like to keep some cash and some btc on hand in Coinbase to help established what I spent in cash. Not what I spent in coin.

Lots of ways to have handled the btc cash purchase.

I am six bucks ahead on this refund. I am lucky. I could even send in a cc and purchase one with a 30 day return window. But I dont think ill bother buying this item.
