This tech is unnecessary. You don't need to use blockchain for this purpose and certainly, there is no need for tokens to make the system works. It kinda sounds like what some ICOs did, the only different thing is that those ICOs aims to reward participants for sharing their data. But the risk of data being 'stolen' is higher than the benefits from it. And there is certainly no need to use blockchain for this, just use IPFS.
I understand. however, I'm sorry to think that this kind of point is only for the closedminded individuals. This project is not intended for a short time span. It will utilize all its token in the long and stable service distribution. Let me ask you a question. If you like to start a business with a certain product, would you like to give it for free? Surely the medical industry will not agree on it. This project will use the token in order to access the important data. Yes IPFS can be a medium, however, to fully maximize the use of Ethereum ecosystem, the best way is to use the Blockchain with Smart Contract.
Talking about the risk of data being 'stolen', I think the smart contract is very reliable for this concern. and for the benefits, as I have read from the link in the PR, in the future, the project will not only concentrate on cancer but other blood-related diseases such as Alzheimer's in which medication is still a problem until now. And there's more. Since one of the services is Liquid Biopsy Test using Proteo Technology with 99% accuracy rate, in the future, they might give it for free. Just to add on, another security feature called biometric authentication will introduce to its dApp.
