How it works:
Beginning at block #302,400 the block reward of 69 TUX will be reduced to 67 TUX, a reduction of about 2.89%.
Beginning at block #345,600 the first donation subsidy payment of 86,400 TUX will be paid out to SuAhWocDrp7z6kF8YiuJpE3FTnc3bDR4AC, which is a 4 of 7 multi-signature address.
This donation subsidy payment will then be paid out every 43,200 blocks, or roughly every 30 days.
The donation subsidy amount will halve at the same rate as the block reward, which is every 420,690 blocks or roughly every 292 days.

Why is this happening? Aren't you already relying on donations from pool operators and other individuals?
We are and will continue to. However, our goal with this coin is to provide a reliable, fixed source of income to support open-source projects that are voted on by the community. If we rely solely on the donations of pool operators and miners, we will not have standardized month-to-month income as pool operators and miners can change their donation amounts, or even stop donating altogether. Without an expected income we would have no way to reliably budget for projects that we may be donating to on a month-to-month basis.
