I believe that currently we should not hesitate to make this prayers that God should put his favor on us and for us to keep making many winning trade than 2018.
I guess in every religion Gambling is prohibited. Meaning you are asking God's Marcy for something which he forbid for you. Did you really mean the wish?

And as for giving him an advice I guess its way too late for that for he's already addicted to it and treated gambling as business and a way to have profits. I guess you'll have to force him go into the rehab
