Just don't copy / paste articles or content without referencing the source, otherwise you'll get banned for plagiarism.
Is it a one-time bannable thingy?
Yes. Pretty much impossible to get unbanned if you're offense is plagiarism. Check out the Meta section[1], then you'll see the desperate cries of the offenders asking for mercy.
