Not sure what program they're using, but ShareX (arguably the best screenshot tool) has red colored arrows/boxes by default when drawing. I would not consider this a valid way of linking. mdayonliner seems to be using ShareX based on the arrow style, while S_Therapist seems to be using MS Paint to edit their photos.
