Yeah i also think that's the case. Ether has built quite a huge following already and it doesn't matter what xrp peeps do to try and push it past eth, ethereum will be the top alt after btc. I think the scams and bogus projects of icos using the eth platform contributed a lot to ether's decline but eventually it'll get over it.
