We don't know yet if they can cope for the loss or how the users will be affected. I once read that they had 1 million users. I know that they have about 100 staff in Christchurch (NZ)
I think that @Lafu might work there, maybe he can let us know more about the situation. I didn't have much on it (100$ or so). I hope that none of you guys will be impacted.
