Not necessarily for the purpose of gaining merit, but I would appreciate feedback and thoughts on the content of my post below.
There is nothing wrong with your post, it is OK. I will take a look at some of your other posts and merit you if I like them.

You are not eligible because this is only meant for Newbies who have not received a single merit, with their count being 0. You have 10 merits. You are correct that you didn't receive any from other users but you were airdropped those 10 merits when the merit system was introduced.
There are a couple of other threads also in the
Beginners & Help section where you could try your luck as a Member rank.
