2 hours in.

Bot net joins pool.

 Cheesy

We aren't talking about creating a new network of zombie machines here, we are talking about people who can rent an existing botnet/use one they operate themselves.

Depending on the individual download speed of each machine, we're looking at a matter of minutes before that machine is mining away.

So how are they going to get the bots mining?  Where will they get the code to mine from?  You are assuming the devs release the code immediately on git.  If they don't do you honestly think they can reverse engineer the code from an exe that quick?

Is this guy trolling us? Another CPU only supporter, I assume.

I have plenty of gpu's but I like the idea of this coin being cpu only.  Anyway waiting for the answer to my question.  Maxcoin uses a modded sha-3 algorithm so waiting for you to tell me how the bot controllers are going to get hold of the code so quickly and get on their networks in minutes.

You really don't know how botnets work do you? Imagine an IRC channel, with hundreds of zombies listening for your trigger command to execute. It will take the botnet as long as it takes a solo miner to start mining away.

LMAO..  yes I know.  Right tell me.  How does the cpu on that controlled computer mine?

Now as far as I am aware the wallet for this coin will contain the mining code and the wallet will do the mining.  So unless that code is released straight away then the people who run the bot nets will not have access to the code.  Without access to the code how can they run anything to mine on the controlled computer?

For a cpu to mine it has to have something executed on that machine.  Be it via an executable or a script running in something like a browser.  So if the bot net owners only have a wallet and no source code HOW CAN they activate the mining on a controlled cpu Smiley  They cant.  So going back to what I said initially.  HOW will the bot nets be active in minutes when as far as I'm aware the code will not be available straight away.

You know a program can run in the background without showing any obvious signs in the GUI right? Either you are trolling or I am wasting my time hammering an iron nail in a rock. In any case, I am done.

I am wasting my time with you it seems as clearly you do not have a clue.  You are assuming there is mining software.  If the only mining software is the wallet then no bot net unless you are about to tell me the bot net will transfer the wallet onto the target machine, execute it and then connect to transfer coins to its own wallet LMAO.

Anyway I have software to write and don't have the time to teach muppets the obvious.

There will be mining software separate from the wallet available at launch. Already confirmed by the devs.

Where was it confirmed?  Iv been following their twitter and the only thing I have seen ( apart from indicating the miner will be in the wallet ) is when they asked if someone could do a gpu miner before wednesday.
