That's certainly true, mate. People head to altcoins due to their inexpensive prices and higher accessibility than Bitcoin. While Bitcoin is still the largest cryptocurrency by market cap, it's unable to fulfil its purpose of being digital cash for the world. That's why, I believe that altcoins will take Bitcoin's place as digital cash for the mainstream world, while Bitcoin becomes the successor of Gold as a true store of value. Considering how cheap altcoins have become lately, they're ideal for long term investment, especially those that are within the top 10 coins in market cap.

Despite this, active cryptocurrencies with an ever-growing development team and community, are the best ones to buy right now. Those include: Ethereum, Litecoin, EOS, Cardano, Monero, Waves, and even Zcash. If you divide your income into several small pieces for investing into such altcoins, you could greatly profit in the next bull run. There are so many opportunities to make money with altcoins, which are not limited only to price movement across the market.

Therefore, it's easier to buy altcoins right now than they ever were back in 2017. Just my opinion
