I was able to log into WEX until about late November 2018, and soon thereafter there were continued changes in the WEX website location that I had found through the official Wex tweets - but those changed WEX website locations did not function for very long either (a couple days at most).  If you click above on the Official Wex tweets, the last tweet that is listed there was on December 5, 2018.

funny enough, i think Balthazar (friend of the original btc-e admins) had a hand in this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4838190.msg48476848#msg48476848

if true though, it just indicates more of the same---that wex made very little effort to remain a functioning exchange.

Where are we now? Are we ever going to be able to get back any of our funds?  How does this play out?  Who has our coins?  Did the government seize the coins?  Are they in some person's hands?  Are the coins being used for legal expenses for Dmitry Havchenko or some of the other owners?  Is Dmitry Havchenko the only known WEX owner in custody?

the admins for the last 6+ months (whoever they are) either lost access to most of the site's wallets or staged a very slow exit scam. i think there's actually a possibility that funds were diverted towards alexander vinnik's legal expenses and fight against extradition to the USA. their cold wallets were seen moving through binance a few months ago: https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1057080119385157632

You seem hopeful, woocol, but I am having difficulties seeing how this ends with any kind of meaningful reimbursement for any of us for anything near the amount of value that any of us had in WEX's custody as of November/December 2018 or maybe claims to earlier losses that WEX caused upon us account holders.

it's over IMO. back in july/august, there was hope of recovery. at this point, it seems like a lot of the money is gone and trust in wex has been destroyed anyway. there's really no incentive for them to come back online. Undecided
