Litecoin did not take the strides that some of the other coins did. It has always stayed as the test platform for bitcoin for years. When something needs to be changed on bitcoin to improve it first we try it on litecoin and check if works and if it works we try it on bitcoin as well.

Basically, if you want to buy bitcoin or altcoin is a different subject and we can discuss it forever and I always supported the altcoin in that discussion because I know when the markets go down bitcoin goes down less and altcoins go down more but when the markets are rising altcoins are going higher than bitcoin goes up. However, when it comes to litecoin I do not feel the same way about it, I feel like litecoin is making the same increases and decreases hence if you are going with litecoin you might as well go with bitcoin.
