I don't mean to nerd out too much, here (o.k.. yes I do, I admit it  ).  But since you guys(& gal perhaps?), present as a bunch of nerds, I will suggest that based on the forum's 30 day algorithm, you, suchmoon, don't have to wait until February 1 to send smertis to Loyce.

I believe that you will be able to send Loyce 4 smerits on January 31 (and only up to 4 smerits) based on your having had sent Loyce 4 smerits on January 1.  Accordingly, those 4 smerits will become greater than 30 days old on January 31 and your 50 smerit max will then become 46 smerits in regards to Loyce..

Accordingly, if you were to attempt to maintain your maximum of 50 smerits per month towards Loyce for a period into the future, your 30 day algorithmically imposed ability to send smerits to Loyce would be like this:


Sent smerit:                 Replenish in 30 days on:
January 1  =  4   >>>>    January  31
January 2  =  4   >>>>    February 1
January 4  =  4   >>>>    February 3
January 6  =  7  >>>>     February 5
Etc... etc... etc....
