I agree, when someone talks about the cryptocurrency currency then bitcoin is inseparable from their minds. When bitcoin prices increase or decrease almost all altcoins also follow it, that's why bitcoin is considered king of crypto.You can see it in coinmarketcap where the highest market capitalization is still held by bitcoin and I think there is no other coin that can replace it
