No, if not for the blockchain you wouldn’t be here talking about cryptocurrency. If blockchain should be removed, then there will be no way for you to make use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Ripple and the rest of them. So, blockchain is still important. I’ve also been seeing some companies working projects that are similar to that of blockchain, but none of them has done something unique with it, they still focus on the same transaction which is what the current Blockchain is already offering to us.

That is the point. All the system and innovations are always coming with pros and cons both. If we are able to make our day to day life better out of those innovation then we must adopt them immediately. This way, we must need blockchain technology. I guess regardless of one or two people/government against to it, I guess no one could stop its evaluation in coming years.
