Check out Grin, they don't have this following specification

It is possible to launch a coin without ICO, demand will be the one that's going to dictate it's price. If coin has good features, surely people will invest their time use it.
Yes and this is one of a good example if the project is legit. People will support it and look on how massive the gains of the people who bought GRIN at the early days of it.
And now there's a lot of talks about its MimbleWimble Protocol. It's very possible to launch a cryptocurrency without any ICO involvement.
