When you are holding a coin  we can call it investing since you buy that coin and keep but if you sold it to other in exchange that would be trading. Holding coin for lojg term doesnt guarantee profit. Be sure to invest only for solid coons or those in the top 5 or 10 list cause some coins are dying overtime specially when market is bearish. You need to evaluate the coin first before deciding to buy and hold.
