Against of many project that were abandoned in 2018 HUG is still active. Not fast as wish but active anyway. And do not forget HUG has no ICO or other devs reward. They didn't collected any funds from the participants. If even after several years we will see popular product based on HUG it will be success

Active? What that mean? Look at road map for 2018, what was does? Just time to time Seeva posted something here.
