There is not much that individual investors can do in the face of a shift to dependence on venture capital and pre-sales. Therefore, an individual investor needs to invest in a portfolio approach to maximize the chances of their return.
I think we need to differentiate a casual investors who's willing to take the risk on shitcoins to spread out their portfolio or smart investors who just put a couple of investments with a huge reward in the end. For the former, no matter how you diversify, if you still buy shitcoins then it's hard to make profits. But for smart investors, no need to diversify, that's why they become rich, because they know where and when to invest and when to get out, just saying.
