If it was based from bots, the overall prizes amount shouldn't be affected, they will be banned anyways; IMO, it's not related to the prizes at all.
If you look through the old results you'll see a very sharp drop in tickets after round 168 when we stopped paying out to them.

No. All tickets increase the prizes.
Running tens of thousands of bot accounts gave them the tickets they deposited to purchase, tickets from free-rolls and then they spent free-roll winnings on more tickets. All of these tickets increased the prizes and with between 60%-80% of the tickets each week, was very profitable for them.
