I think coins are more profitable, at least coins can give up fluctuations, from what I observe in the market, most tokens go to dumping ponds, especially as ICO and bear markets in these conditions result in large volume decreases, though also there were coins that did experience bad growth earlier this year, and in my opinion the benefits depend on the trading skills you have.
