You don't get to be specifics here dude. All gamblers really know the consequences of being addicted to gambling. But why they are still getting into it despite the negative effects of it? Simply because they want to enjoy and earn lots of money in the quickest time possible. And no amount of explanation will swayed their mentality.
This is the problem with those who got addicted into gambling. They must know at first the consequences they can get if they gamble their money. I agree with what you said with why they are going despite the negative effects that they can face. They think that gambling is the way for them to get money as quick as possible but they can lost all of their money in a snap.
