How's the development going? The sync is awfully slow, it takes more than two days here and the client is constantly hanging during sync.
Are there any althernative clients planned?

Always backup your PandaBank, keep a safe copy of your wallet.dat off of your PC on an external drive or storage medium.

The funny thing is that I thought I used the snapshot version, the download was over 2GB but apparently it still started from scratch downloading the blocks (that or it's the validation of the blocks that takes so long).
There are updates in other coins that don't validate the whole blocks, just validate the headers. It's less secure but the syncing goes down from days to a few hours.
