Exchange or exchanger? Why?

I know these two are synonymous but if it's not please enlighten us. Better to edit the OP so you can get the answer you needed.
Exchangers - exchange services, f.e. changenow was mentioned earlier. Exchange - binance, bittrex, etc.
from what i understand exchanger refer to people that exchanging his coins from an exchange . exchange on the other hand means , trading platform where you use to exchange/trade your crypto's .
but among the exchangers I prefer Changenow.
