There is a theory that crowd always right. One person can make mistake, two persons can make mistakes but crowd can not make mistake. But the experience of ICO shows that crowd can make mistake too.
To be fair, it probably is. But there were a lot of fraud in the ICO sphere and this had a negative impact on the overall results.
I think that testing in new projects is a big risk, even if the project is honest and is going to develop.
