At the time I had no money so I was not personally affected by the crisis that happened at the time but I could see the lives of people getting harder especially those that had little business since they needed small loans at the time and banks were not giving loans to anyone
The banks were badly hit and they were not having money to give out in the first place and the government had to intervene and help the banks recover from their losses. I had my loss in the share market and lost a huge amount which i was able to recover later when the market reached new heights as well as the bitcoin market helped me tremendously in giving me the returns after that.

If you are talking about early retirement, yes the crisis shattered many lives but there is an age for retirement even if you are not willing to 
. Comedy aside we might see financial crisis every now and then but i do not think we will see the crises of the same magnitude like we saw in 2008 in some years to come, it is a cycle and it might happen in the next twenty to thirty years or even before that time.
