Not actually. It won't eat your money if you are winning over lossing. It will eat your brain if you're not smart enough to know when to stop. I think the OP was negative because he's unfortunate to gambling. I hope his perspective can be altered.

It's a matter of strategy. Just like playing a poker
game, don't risk too much if you are not confident that your card would win. Always be positive and let the game be controlled no one but only you.
If we are venturing into something that is high risk then we should limit the money we risk.
High risk venture needs proper analysis and thus you need to study what you are doing so you can make an effective strategy.
