Distinctive and social features of the Collegicoin project.
As we all know, one of the main obstacles with education is the price. This issue is particularly relevant for developing and less fortunate countries of the world. These countries have a large number of young people who want to get an education, but lack the financial capacity to pay for it. Our project is aimed at a solution to this problem.
Once the Collegicoin Foundation is established, the functions of the funds are used as financial aid to needy students of basic and higher education. Helping students all over the world to reduce their educational expenses.
How does literacy spread around the world?
The following map shows the level of literacy around the world, using the latest assessments published in CIA Factbook. As you can see, all countries outside Africa (except Afghanistan) have literacy rates above 50%.
However, despite progress over the long term, significant inequalities persist, especially between sub-Saharan Africa and the rest of the world. Burkina Faso, Niger and South Sudan - the lower African countries - still have literacy rates below 30%.
This is a discrepancy the Collegicoin Foundation wants to change. Giving the opportunity to get basic and higher education to people from countries with low standard of living.
