Many of us use bitcoin only in exchange/trading site, while bitcoin should be more used in marketplace/online shop. Which one do you choose? Do you prefer to use bitcoin on a trading site or marketplace/online shop? And why do you chose that?
The goal for Bitcoin is to become a way of payment but now it is used as speculation instrument. So I'd prefer to use Bitcoin for online purchases but now market is not ready for it - the volatility rate is high enough and transaction speed is low. So there are not many services who accept Bitcoin.
I would like to say your 2nd idea is good for not using your bitcoin to purchase good now a day because price is not suitable for it, for me it is good time to hold our bitcoin, as a few months later price will be normal at the same time more market places will happily accept bitcoin for high transaction and affordable fees, so then you can purchase online goods whatever you want.
