Mainnet launched last september.
Unlike competitors, HPB relies on a hardware solution, already deployed
The Blockchain Offload Engine (BOE)
https://hpb.io/boeI view it as ASICS mining / GPU for scalability. It won't achieve 1M tps next week but you won't achieve faster speed than HPB without their hardware imo.
Current performance: 5000 TPS (10k within China), 150 nodes, 6s avg block time.
I didnt understand everything, but well, they promised 1 mln TPS and now this is just 5k TPS:
With a target of 1 million TPS and a 3-second confirmation time, HPB aims to become the standard for all major business applications in industries that require handling of billions of data points with extremely low latency.
1 mln and 5k is far from their promises.
let's give them the chance for the benefit of the doubt. what I like here is they are showing progress with their developments. most of the launched projects last year are either dead/abandoned or trying to survive in the market. But yes, their actual performance is really far from their promised speed. they might be working on it right now...
