Ahh, I seem to have solved my problem, instead of using Datasource.py I put a section like this in to my abe.conf file.

datadir += [{
 "dirname" : "/root/.feathercoin",
 "chain" : "FeatherCoin",
 "code3" : "FTC",
 "address_version" : "u000e",
 "magic" : "u00fbu00c0u00b6u00db"
}]


It is now building the DB.
