Personally, Bitcoin has always had and will always have a very special place for being the first to get me into the space.
On top of that I like and support several coins of which at the moment my favorite is Tezos (XTZ).
the best cryptocurrency of all time for me is ETH and BTC, why? because they have an important role for other altcoins,
Bitcoin and Ethereum are favorites of many people and favorites of all time, although Etehreum is currently in poor condition but he is still a favorite of many people probably because they believe in Etehereum.
actually a lot of good coins, the top 10 coins in CMC have a good role but their are also different tastes of people so they are free to choose what they like.
