We need more than luck to hit a block with a normal i5 CPU
I am mining using i5 in the last 12 hours but no Luck i decided to stop. burning my CPU is not worth it Not sure how old your i5 is and how many cores it has, but my 2 year old laptop with a dual core i7 gets ~1.9kH/s, with the network at ~700kH/s that is enough for about 4 blocks a day.
