nope you just need to run a miner - the solo mining is toast so the wallet is only good for collecting max - get their modified cgminer to run on your windows with amd/ati video card - but you might want to try another coin with stable pools because it is frustrating enough to try to get the miners working on a coin with working pools. imagine haha dogecoin is better LOL and goto dogehouse to mine it and you can even use the 1gh cpuminer on it but not the maxcoin cpuminer - go figure
