The difference is that you are a no one. I could buy a cheap host + a domain for a couple of dollars, make a cheap "mixer" script that doesn't even have the basic functionalities, and ask people for money. Then, either scam immediately, or wait until someone mixes a big amount to run away.

That's why mixers usually escrow some money or prove their funds until they get a reputation.
