They do not ask for more giveaways, they are hoping it LOL.
It is a common wish from users, I do even believe that stake wont let this big celebration of the v2 official launch without giving something to their users. Basically they have just given away around 0.7btc (total) for 12 days continuously as a part of testing the beta v2. I wont be surprised if stake is going to give bigger giveaway once the v2 officially launched. I'm not really sure when the beta will end, but hopefully soon.
According to some people on their chat room who are veteran players more than 5 btc bets intotal plays and from what the above moderator mentioned in the opening dialogue of their post "After the successful seasonal challenge for the Beta release and an amazing feedback by the community, we are ready to get back on track.." it is a good sign the following should be a valid statement.They do not ask for more giveaways, they are hoping it LOL.

The stake 2.0 site will be out of beta mode in a couple of days.
So we shall see from then on if there will be any bigger giveaways from the last time they performed a debt launch of the site.
